Winter Skincare Favorites

Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s been a minute since I have shared some skincare favorites of mine, so I’m here to introduce you to three of my favorite winter skincare products to conquer dry, dull winter skin. *This post is not sponsored, and all opinions are my own. First up is a product some might call a cult classic, but this has been a personal favorite of mine for about three years now. The Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask is the perfect mask for intense hydration. While I do use this while traveling (I typically wear it at night after a flight to bring hydration back to my skin after pressure changes), I also use this about twice a week throughout the winter months to keep my skin hydrated. Summer Friday’s brand is cruelty free and vegan, which is also a plus! The Jet Lag Mask contains ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide (this is a big word, and I was lost when I first heard it, too! this ingredient focuses on supporting the skin barrier by making pores look smaller and brightening skin tone), and antioxidants. I put a thick layer on as my last skincare step, and wash it off in the morning. My skin is left feeling hydrated and looking bright!

These next two products are new to me, but I have been using both for a few months and have loved them. If you follow on Instagram, then you know it is no secret that I love the Laneige lip sleeping mask as a lip hydrator year round. I stumbled upon their Water Bank Moisture Cream in a trial size received from Sephora in one of my packages, and I instantly became obsessed. I traded this in for my normal Olay nightly moisture cream (which I still love!), as an added level of moisture for my dry, winter skin. This moisturizer is super lightweight and can easily be used night and day, but I only use this at night (mainly because I want to finish my Olay bottle before using this full-time!). I layer this on top of my other nightly skincare, and wake up with glowing, hydrated skin. The main ingredients in this moisturizer are water (duh), antioxidants, and green mineral water, which after doing some research is a major skin benefit! Green mineral water is extracted from vegetables such as brussel sprouts, artichokes and lima beans, which promotes the production of collagen and overall firmness of the skin.

Not to be over-dramatic, but I have become slightly obsessed with this product. It sells out quickly, so if you find one in stock, I highly, highly recommend trying it! This has definitely become a staple in my skincare routine and I 100% plan on purchasing this again for continued use!

Last is my first Youth to the People product I have ever tried, and I must say, I am impressed! Most of my heavy, or more intense skincare happens at night, with daytime primarily being just cleanser, moisturizer and SPF. I have to admit that I had no intention of adding an additional product to my AM routine, but this product kept popping up on my feed, so I did some research and decided to try it. I am so happy I did, because just like the Moisture Bank, I’ve become obsessed! The Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil is just what I need to wake both my skin, and myself, up! I apply a small amount of this (a little goes a long way, which is a bonus) over my moisturizer and SPF daily by patting into my skin and neck. It has a citrus-y fragrance, which I personally love as it helps wake me up in the mornings, and a smooth, lightweight texture. This oil locks in moisture and keeps my skin feeling hydrated all day, plus gives me a gorgeous, natural looking glow without me looking oily!

If you’re battling dry winter skin, I highly recommend trying these products to help combat that. Of course, every skin is different and will react to products differently, but I have had success with each of these products and absolutely love them for my skin!
