I honestly cannot believe I’m already saying this, but…it’s that time of year again! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts this week and the preview is already live. In this post I’ll be sharing dates of the sale, some tips and advice for shopping, as well as some of my favorite finds from this years preview. This post is going to be a long one, friends, so buckle up!

The chart below will tell you when you are able to shop the sale. It’s tradition that Nordstrom cardholders always get to shop first, and based on your “tier”, or how much money you spend at Nordstrom throughout the year, determines your shopping date!
Tips for Shopping
I’ve shared on Instagram that it is easy to become overwhelmed not just by the sale, but by the advertising as well. For example, a few years ago I went wild during the Nordstrom sale and spent way too much money. I kept seeing bloggers and influencers share different pieces throughout the sale, and the more I saw these items being pushed, the more I felt like I had to have them. Truth is, there were pieces I purchased that I only wore once! After that, I learned my lesson and although it can be tough, it truly is beneficial to limit how much you shop and what you are buying from the sale (unless, of course, you have the means to buy anything and everything!).
My best piece of advice is to shop your closet first. Look for gaps that truly need to be filled for fall and winter. For example: do you really need a good pair of jeans that fit you like a glove? Maybe you’re in desperate need of an everyday flat for the cooler seasons, or a leather jacket to tie together your outfits. There are lots of great winter coat and boot options included in the sale as well, perhaps you are in need of one of those! Whatever it is your wardrobe might be lacking, focus on finding those items first. The Nordstrom sale is a great time to get high-end brands at a discount at the start of the season, so you’ll be ready whenever that first fall breeze hits.
After you’ve evaluated your closet, set a budget. Based on that budget, are you able to purchase all of the gaps in your wardrobe that you’re looking for? If not, then prioritize what you want! Maybe you need boots, jeans and a jacket, but can’t afford them all. That is okay. Shop the sale and see which items you love. Maybe you fall in love with a jacket, but don’t fall in love with any of the jeans you tried. Stick to just getting the jacket! Do not feel like you have to get everything from the sale! Remember, these items will go on sale again throughout the year, so there is always another chance to get them.
With all of that being said, don’t forget to check out the home, beauty, and jewelry categories of the sale as well! Some of my most used beauty products are usually on sale during this time, so I like to stock up. There are also a lot of great home accessories and necessities, like bedding or candles, that are discounted as well during this time. If you see anything you’re interested in, be sure to incorporate those items into your budget!
2022 Nordstrom Sale Finds
Below you’ll find some of my top picks from this years sale preview. A lot of the clothing items I already own and are great basic, staple pieces to have in your closet! Some of my favorite shoes from last year are included again as well, which is exciting! I will be going into more detail on Instagram stories about past purchases and my picks, so be sure to stay tuned! The top two shoes (white sneakers and mules) are two of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The sneakers are incredibly comfortable and easy to walk in for hours, as well as really easy to clean! I purchased the mules during last years sale and wore them almost every single day to teach. I could stand in them comfortable for 8+ hours!
Nordstrom’s brand of pajamas, Moonlight, are incredibly soft and durable! Mine have held up through the years and many washes. Barefoot Dreams cardigans are a splurge, the will last you years and is the ultimate comfy sweater to grab in the cold weather!
The two black Zella items here (leggings and zip-up) are both incredible quality! I purchased the leggings two years ago and I still have them to wear in the fall and winter. I wear a size XS in them! The zip up is perfect for walks or to throw on when it starts to cool off.
The hot tools shown here (ghd straightener and t3 curling iron) are 100% worth the investment, in my opinion. My husband has gotten me these as birthday gifts the past two years (the t3 two years ago and the ghd last year), and they truly make the difference in the way my hair looks and feels. My hair is not nearly as damaged using these due to their protective coating. If you are in need of a new hair tool, I highly, highly recommend these!
The rest of these items are some of my favorite beauty products! I have been using the Stila eyeliner since high school, and nothing compares to it. I love any and all Patchology eye gels, and love that this duo of my favorites are included in the sale! I’ve used Moroccanoil products for at least eight years, and the hair oil is a staple in my hair routine. If you follow me on Instagram, then you know how obsessed I am with the Kiehl’s midnight recovery oil! I will never stop using it!
There are a lot of Kendra Scott pieces, as well as staple jewelry items (such as pearl or diamond studs) included in the sale!
The Spanx faux leather leggings truly have become a staple in my fall and winter wardrobe. They are so easy to style and easy to swap out for plain leggings to elevate your look a bit! I wear a small petite (love that they have petite)! Last year I was finally able to get my hands on the Caslon long sleeve tees (they have always been sold out in my size!), and they are great quality and comfortable. If you are in need of some basic tees, these are great!
I have to admit, the Barefoot Dreams blankets are worth the hype. They truly are the coziest blankets I have ever used! If you are able to treat yourself, I highly recommend grabbing one in the sale! (a tip for the blankets: they typically sell out online pretty quick, which bums me out. People truly do stock up during this sale! Check your local stores, though, because a lot of times blankets get returned and you can grab one!). I love Nest fragrances as well as Voluspa candles, they both fill a room without being overpowering, so I like to stock up on these during the sale!
Whew! That was a lot, friends, but I warned ya! I know that I shared a lot here, but remember my words of advice: stick to a budget and focus on items you truly need first! Remember that it is overwhelming, but it is a great time to get items your wardrobe might need on sale before the season even starts!
