Hey there friends, thanks for stopping by today! With the temps rising outside, I figured I would round up a closet staple: the denim short. For the longest time, I had the hardest time finding a pair of denim shorts that fit me just right! Either they were too short, or the waist fit weird…too snug, too lose. Last year, I found what I thought were the perfect denim shorts, which I still love and will share! However, this year I found some other great pairs and am so happy that I did! I’m going to share all of them here, and the best part, they are all affordable!
First, I’ll start with the pair I thought was the best pair ever. Don’t get me wrong, these denim shorts are amazing! They fit me perfectly, which is hard to do because I have wider hips and a smaller waist. I wore these all last summer, and would 100% recommend these to anyone looking to invest in a good pair of denim shorts! These are the most expensive pair I will share, but Abercrombie also has lots of sales, so they are frequently discounted! These shorts are true to size, so definitely order your normal size!
Next are these Vici Dolls shorts that I fell in love with! I was looking for a new pair (so I don’t wear the same pair every day this summer like I did last summer…), and I was pleasantly surprised with these! Since they are boutique and I couldn’t try them on prior to ordering, I wasn’t expecting a perfect fit; however, these fit like a glove! I ordered a size small, because as I said earlier, I have a smaller waist but wider hips. The small fits well, and honestly, I probably could have sized down to an XS, but I like the roominess that the small provides! These are stretchy and not tight around the thighs, which I love!
Last I have two Target finds for you! Both are under $20, which is an incredible deal. I first tried on this white pair around February when I first saw them hit the racks at Target, and I was hooked. They come in four different washes, and I promise you, you need all four! Just like the Vici shorts, these are stretchy, and I honestly suggest you size down in these! For $15, you honestly cannot beat these!
Last are another pair of Target shorts, a more classic pair. What I love about these is that they are high waisted, but modest in length! One problem I have with denim shorts is they are a little shorter than I would prefer, but this is not the case with these! They are true to size and only $17!
