Happy Monday, friends! I spent all weekend working on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale; finding the best pieces and putting looks together as inspiration. A few weeks ago, I asked you on Instagram what you would like to see from the sale, and the majority asked to see wardrobe staples and pieces to add to your capsule wardrobe. Overall, I feel like Nordstrom is really focusing on wardrobe staples this year. I didn’t notice as many “trendy” pieces when browsing the sale preview. I’m happy that Nordstrom is giving us a lot of different options for fall and winter staples, that way we can try different brands/styles to find what we like best!
In terms of shopping, I did my best to find affordable pieces that you’ll have in your closet for years. I also put together some outfit inspiration graphics to give you ideas on how to style these pieces. Lastly, I’m sharing pieces that I have purchased from previous anniversary sales that I still love, and think you will, too!
Personally, I already have my fall and winter wardrobe staples, so I don’t plan on purchasing too much during this years sale. Keep in mind, the sale can get so overwhelming. There have definitely been sales in the past where I overspent on items I barely wore. My best advice is to analyze your closet. Pull out your fall and winter pieces: jeans, work pants (if you go into the office), t-shirts, sweaters, boots, etc., and determine what your wardrobe is missing. Maybe it’s a good black pair of booties, or some bodysuits/t-shirts that can be paired with everything. Shop for those items, first! Once you found what your closet is missing, then you can shop for extras.
Also, please remember, you do not need anything from this sale. It is a great time to snag some fall pieces before the season officially starts so you’re ready, but it’s also fun to window shop the sale to see what will be trending this season!
Without further adieu, below is my roundup of Nordstrom Anniversary sale picks! As always, you can click on the photos to shop. *Photos contain commissionable links.
