Happy Wednesday from Portugal, friends! When I post this, I will be in Portugal visiting my father-in-law and beginning our three week European vacation! As I was packing for this trip, I pulled my classic wardrobe pieces, knowing that I could style them a variety of ways. This helped me to not overpack, and made outfit planning easy as I knew I could mix and match the different pieces I brought.
The term “capsule wardrobe” is becoming increasingly popular, and to be honest, as much as I truly want to be a capsule wardrobe girly, I love trends too much. A true capsule wardrobe consists of interchangeable pieces that can be paired together in order to maximize the number of outfits you can create with minimal clothing pieces. The goal of a capsule wardrobe is to minimize spending (and save closet space!). Although I do love trends, I’ve always been a firm believer in having your closet staples in your wardrobe. A capsule wardrobe for fall and winter is a little easier to build outfits from because there are lots of layering options.
Today I’m sharing the staple pieces that you should have for your fall capsule wardrobe. These are all basic pieces that are also timeless, and can be styled a million different ways. As always, you can click on the photos below to shop the looks!
