Reflecting back on April (well, my April credit card statement…) I came to realize that there were quite a bit of sales during the month of April that enticed me to try some new things! I came across a lot of new favorite things during the month of April, and wanted to share them with you here! As always, you can shop the products by clicking the photos! *links include commissionable products*
- Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation: Shade 150
This became my new favorite foundation the instant I applied it! Kosas is a clean beauty brand, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this viral product as it is my first *true* clean product. This truly feels like a tinted moisturizer with the coverage of a foundation- it is SO hydrating and feels so good on the skin. Even after hours of wear, it looks flawless! This foundation is medium coverage, so perfect for summer! Click here for a video of a review!
2. Rare Beauty Tinted Moisturizer: Shade 26W
After trying nearly every Rare Beauty product in the Sephora sale, I can understand why there is such a cult following around the brand. Selena knows what she’s doing! I love this tinted moisturizer and know this will be my daily foundation during the summer months! It is not sticky or smelly, and looks so natural. This includes SPF 20 and blends so easily! 3. Skinmedica Retinol Complex 0.25
If you have been following along with my skin journey on Instagram, then you know I am in the process of slowly switching over my skincare products to medical grade. I go into detail about why on my Ovme highlight on my Instagram! I added this retinol into my skincare routine three times a week to start preventative measures to keep my skin looking youthful. So far, I am loving the results of this retinol. I did not have major skin irritation, just a minor breakout on my chin after first use, but that quickly went away and uncovered glowing skin. You should always consult an esthetician or dermatologist before starting a retinol as it is a chemical that has potential to cause a lot of irritation, but if you are in the market for a starter retinol, I really like this one!
4. SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Vitamin C Serum
Chances are you have already seen this product all over social media, so I finally bit the bullet and purchased this bad boy. I have to admit…I can already tell that it is worth the high price point! With just a month of use, my skin is truly glowing and the pigmentation has evened out immensely. Granted, I started using this daily plus the retinol at the same time, so the two combined may be the secret behind glowing, youthful skin.
5. Olaplex No. 9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum
Of all of the products I tried in April, this may just be my favorite. When I say this is a game changer for your hair, I mean this product is a game changer. Just half a pump on damp hair twice a week has changed the texture and shine in my hair. I have noticed it is much softer, less frizzy and any damage that has been done looks drastically reduced when using this. I cannot say enough good things about this!
6. Lululemon Pace Rival mid-Rise Skirt: Color Vivid Plum
If you read my recent post, then you already know I am all about the activewear this season. This skirt (actually a skort) is going to be on repeat all spring and summer! I am wearing a size 4 and it is so comfortable. I love the length and the skirt has a zipper pocket in the back, as well as a pocket in the shorts underneath!
7. Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag in Lavender
I’ll admit, I was influenced into buying this bag. After seeing it literally everywhere, I had to see what the hype was all about. Especially when I saw that Lululemon released the bag in this gorgeous lavender color, I knew I had to snag it! I have loved this bag for running quick errands or on my long walks. The strap is adjustable and can be worn around the waist or crossbody, like I am here. This little bag is perfect for summer vacations!
Is there anything you tried during the month of April that you became obsessed with?! If so, let me know in the comments!
