Happy Wednesday, friends! I find it a wonderful coincidence that I am sharing my bachelorette experience, which was “final fiesta” themed, on Cinco de Mayo! This past weekend, I was spoiled by some of my closest friends for my bachelorette party. At the end of the weekend, one of my friends asked what my favorite part of the weekend was, and truly, it was just being with my girlfriends again. Some of them I hadn’t seen in nearly two years due to the pandemic! Girl time is so good for the soul, y’all.
For those who didn’t catch it on Instagram, I hosted my bachelorette party at my home in Dallas. I’m not going to lie, as the time grew closer, I was a little worried that I would regret just having my bachelorette weekend at my home in my own city, rather than traveling somewhere. However, I am so thankful that we chose to do it this way! First, it was such a relief to not stress about packing (especially considering I purchased about 5,000 white dresses as “options”, and there’s definitely no way they would all fit into a suitcase). Also, it was so nice to be able to spread out, decorate, not worry about noise, etc. In a hotel, it would be very different as we all would have to go from room to room, worry about noise, and all that!
Friday we planned as our “chill” day, as most everyone was traveling in this day and arriving at different times. Some of my girls arrived earlier in the day, so we got brunch and did some shopping in preparation for the weekend festivities. The theme of Friday was “rose all day”, so for dinner we had quite the charcuterie spread paired with my favorite wine, rose! If you’re hosting a charcuterie party in the future, I cannot recommend Trader Joe’s enough. Seriously, they have everything you need! We sipped, snacked, caught up and played games to start my bachelorette weekend Friday evening!
Come Saturday and it was officially time for my final fiesta! As I went out to get bagels and Starbucks (aka, the essentials), my girlfriends decorated my home and completely transformed it into the perfect venue for a fiesta! The bright colors and festive decor were absolutely perfect. Luckily, the rain held off, so we were able to fiesta around the pool outside and sip on margaritas. As a thank you for traveling and celebrating with me, I gifted my girlfriends these cute little gift bags full of fun little souvenirs for the weekend. I included a Brumate for us to use around the pool on Saturday, some face masks, and a cute little sleeping eye mask for our recovery!
For dinner on Saturday, we had reservations at Xoxo Dallas, aka the cutest, most girly venue we could find! If you are in/visiting Dallas and want to visit this restaurant, be sure to make a reservation far in advance. We made ours in January! After a fabulous dinner (seriously, the food was so good), we moved on to Te Deseo to keep with our “fiesta” theme for some more drinks and dancing. We spent the whole night there and had so much fun!
I could go on and on about all of the belly laughs and good times that I had with my girls this past weekend, but some things are just meant for personal memories! I’ve tried to link most of the decorations and gifts that we used throughout the weekend to help you plan any future bachelorette parties! I know that this year has been incredibly tough for brides, but having a more “low key” bachelorette party can be just what a gal needs. My maid of honor and best friends proved that just because we didn’t go to a fancy resort or go bar hopping in Vegas, we could still have the best time! I am so thankful for this weekend with my gals, and am so glad to share it with you, too!
