Fall Transition Handbags

This post is actually inspired by my mom, who in a recent conversation mentioned that she was looking for the perfect transitional handbag for September. She’s not quite ready to break out her dark brown and black bags, but is ready to transition from her lighter summer bags. I figured she’s not the only one in search of the perfect transition bag, so I decided to do some research and share what I found! I have bags in a variety of price ranges, some I personally have and love, others I do not but still love the design and functionality of them.

Another thing you should know about my mother: she carries everything but the kitchen sink in her bag. This is a trait that I inherited from her, but as I mature and meet other women, I am starting to learn that I think this is a trait that all women inherit from their mothers. So, knowing my mom and what her preferences are when it comes to bags, I know it will have to be large enough to carry everything, with lots of different pockets to organize everything. I personally do not necessarily need all of these pockets, so I tried to find a variety of styles with different types of functionality to meet the needs of any women. I hope you are able to find a fall transition bag that you love in this post!

Bucket Bags

The Bucket Bag seems to make a revival every few decades or so, and it just so happens that 2020 is one of those decades. The Bucket Bag has been a trend the past few years, and I don’t foresee it going away anytime soon. When I was doing my research, I have to admit, Coach has a few Bucket Bags that are absolutely gorgeous. I’ve included some more reasonable options as well!

Crossbody Bags

Every girl needs a variety of crossbody bags in her closet, one or two to take her through the seasons. Crossbody bags are convenient for nights out on the town, or when you don’t need to carry everything but the kitchen sink with you!

Shoulder Bags

It’s not often that I buy a shoulder bag because, let’s be honest, I am more drawn to totes for the extra space. However, I have found some beautiful shoulder bags that would look absolutely stunning for transitioning to fall, and will also last you all season! I’m loving the classic leather looks of the Ralph Lauren and Dooney and Bourke options that I found!

Totes

Ah, my tried and true, go-to bag for all seasons. The bags that will hold it all. I can personally say that I have the Tory Burch Robinson large tote and love it. It has lots of pockets on the inside, which helps me keep things organized (gum, chapstick, hand sanitizer). I had the older version of the Robinson bag for about three years, and loved it so much that I got the new version of this tote. If you are able to invest in a pricier bag (I know for some, Tory Burch isn’t necessarily an investment, but for me, it is!), I 100% recommend the Robinson bag! I found lots of great tote options in all different price points and different styles, too!
