I think we can all agree that we miss normalcy. The start of the school year is always so exciting and truly the time of the year that I look forward to the most. I love meeting all of my new students and getting to know their strengths, skills, and personalities! Sadly this year, I will be meeting my students for the first time virtually, which is SO weird. There’s no other way to describe it than just weird! I so miss having my classroom full of students, laughter and conversation.
Although I am starting the school year virtually, after three weeks we will (hopefully) be in person! As a teacher, I need to look professional, but also be comfortable. I am on my feet ALL day, and constantly raising my arms, squatting down to sit on the floor with kids and be at eye-level, and so on. I need professional clothes that I don’t have to worry about fussing with throughout the day! I love Target for all clothes, but especially trendy work looks. Their pieces are affordable, chic, and easy to style! I’ve chosen some of their newest pieces to style for you all and give you some inspiration for the office, or in my case, classroom!
First is this adorable leopard ruffle top with the most amazing black pants! I am wearing an XS in the top and a size 2 in the pants. The best part about these black slacks is that they actually have an elastic waist, which makes them so comfortable to wear all day! They hit right at the bottom of my leg, and I am 5’2″, so if you are any shorter, they might be a tad long on you!
Next are the same pants with this gorgeous white peplum blouse. What is so great about this blouse is that it isn’t see-through! It can be so hard to find white professional tops that aren’t super sheer, and this one is absolutely gorgeous! I am wearing an XS and it fits like a glove!
These pants are the definition of perfect! The rust color is absolutely gorgeous for fall, and they fit so well. The length is perfect for petites, I am wearing a size 0 and these are a tad bit big, but the belted waist helps make them fit just right!
This black shirt midi dress would be perfect on my taller friends! Unfortunately, it is a little long and large on me, but the concept is perfect for work; an easy, throw-on and go dress!
This denim dress is absolutely perfect for fall! It is a thicker material with buttons down the front, and adorable sleeves and a tie front! I am wearing an XS and it fits perfectly!
Last is this snakeskin pattern flowy dress. Target has carried this dress before in other colors, but I love this pattern for fall! I am wearing an XS and it fits well. I belted it for a more fitted look, but it looks just as good without the belt!
