Three Easy Travel Outfits for Summer

Wow, to be honest, I never thought I would be writing a travel post in 2020! This year has been such a crazy roller coaster, but I cannot make it through the entire year without seeing my family! So, I’m packed up and headed to Cleveland for two weeks, and I cannot wait. I am taking ALL of the travel precautions (I have copious amount of hand sanitizer and clorox wipes stashed in my bag), including doubling up on my masks and wearing glasses on the flight, to hopefully prevent germs from getting in my eyes. When it comes to travel, I have to have a comfortable outfit. I always arrive at the airport and see women in their tight jeans and heels and wonder how they could ever be comfortable in that! I always knew that I would never be one of those women, but I still want to be comfortable and cute while traveling. I’m sharing three easy outfits that are just as comfortable as they are cute for travel!

First, while traveling in the summer, it’s important to bring a light jacket or sweater with you on your flight. You never know how cold the airport or airplane may be, and I absolutely hate being cold! I always carry a denim jacket or neutral cardigan with me, so I’ve linked some here that I love! You’ll see similar pieces with each of my outfits!

My first go-to cozy travel outfit are rompers. Especially if you have a quick flight, rompers can be some of the comfiest pieces to wear! I absolutely love this cobalt blue romper from Mint Julep Boutique, and want one in every color! It is sooooo comfortable and soft, which is perfect for a flight. I also love this grey and white stripe romper from the Indigo Closet Boutique. I love how neutral it is and again, it is super comfortable!

If I feel like being a little more dressy for my flight, a tee-shirt dress will do the trick for a comfy outfit! What I love about the classic tee-shirt dress is that they are no-fuss and just so easy to throw on and go. Pair with a necklace and some arm candy, and you look like you actually put some effort into your travel outfit!

Very rarely will I wear jeans on a flight, or in the car, or…ever. However, there is the exception of the mom jean, which is just as comfortable as they are chic. Even before all of this Covid-19 pandemic scare, I have always been fearful of the germs on airplanes. I mean, who really knows how often planes get cleaned and disinfected?! So, if my skin is a little more covered, then I feel a little more protected from germs. Mom jeans are comfortable and easy to move in, and paired with a cute graphic tee, can make the perfect travel outfit!

There are definitely ways to look “cozy chic” during your days of travel! Like I said, I will never be the girl who wears heels and a super fancy outfit on a plane! That being said, I still want to look presentable and nice, and I think these outfits above do just the trick. Is there something you love to wear while traveling? Let me know in the comments!
