If your father is anything like mine, then he is probably one of the worst people to shop for. Every time I ask him what he wants for a birthday, Christmas or Father’s Day, I get the same response, “nothing”. Well, I’m not the kind of daughter to not get my dad anything to celebrate him, so I always end up finding something to wrap up for him to open. Usually, I just stick to getting him tickets to a sporting event because he LOVES sports (more than he loves his children), but unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be an option this year. I have scoured the internet to find some Father’s Day gifts that I think my dad would like, but also some items for dads of all ages! I hope this gift guide helps you find something good for the difficult man to shop for in your life!
Let’s face it, quarantine is boring. Chances are your dad has already completed multiple puzzles, but how fun would it be to complete a puzzle of your family?! Shutterfly has so many different puzzle options that you can personalize with family photos, and then you can do the puzzle together, which I’m sure any dad would appreciate more than any gift!
Personalized Golf “Accessories”
Okay, I sound very naive referencing golf “accessories”, but I can’t think of what else to call golf balls, tees, towels, etc.! So, we’ll call them accessories 🙂 Right now, the golf course is keeping my dad and brother sane! If the golf courses are open in your state, some nice personalized golf accessories would be nice for your dad to use this summer!
This set from Etsy comes in a gorgeous monogrammed box, and includes customized golf balls and tees.
Here are some similar options that are less expensive!
- 1 dozen custom Callaway golf balls
- 20 personalized golf tees
- Custom golf bag tags with tee holders
- Personalized golf towel
Keeping with the golf theme, I’m sure a new polo is always appreciated! Again, if your dad is anything like mine, he doesn’t shop for himself. If it were up to him, he would still be wearing the jacket that he wore back in 1980. New clothes are always appreciated by him, so getting a golf polo, or any other type of clothing your dad likes is always a great idea! I have linked a few options for you that are all great quality, at different price points!
If you have been following me, then you know that I have been loving my Sudio headphones! I use the Tolv model, and am impressed with how long the battery lasts (I can go over a week without having to charge them!) and their sleek design. They come in a lot of colors, so you can choose what your dad would like best! You can even use code “SWEETSAVLEIGH” for 15% off of your purchase!
Beer Basket
During my search to find gifts that men would like, I came across this company, The Bro Basket. They specialize in craft beer baskets to send to your loved ones! You can order one of these baskets, or you can easily create one yourself! Pick up a nice cooler and head to the store to pick up some different types of beer that your dad might like. A lot of stores now have the “build your pack” option, where you can pick up different types of beer, rather than buying a big pack of one brand! I’ve linked some coolers here that would be great options to hold the “beer basket”!
Alex and I gave this to my parents a few years ago, and it was great! Men love bourbon, right?! And who doesn’t need a big cup of coffee in the morning?! This is one of those unique gifts that your dad probably won’t drink everyday, but would be interesting for him to try if he is a bourbon fan!
Grooming Products
For Christmas, Alex and I gifted his dad with the Jack Black beard wash and beard lube, and he has loved it! In the past, I have given Alex other Jack Black products, like the face buff and eye balm (I’m not going to lie, sometimes I sneak some of the eye balm, it feels soooo good on the eyes!), and they work great! From my experience, I think these are some great grooming products for men. They offer a wide variety of products that would meet the needs of any dad!
I have also given Alex some Kiehl’s products in the past as well, and he likes them just as much as the Jack Black! A few years back, I gave him the Facial Fuel scrub and face wash, and he loved them! They have a minty smell, which helps you to wake up in the morning, and also has coffee in the ingredients! I personally think that either brand offers great options in terms of male grooming products, so it really is up to you and what your dad needs!
Quality Workout Clothes
Again, if your dad is anything like mine, he throws on old t-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes. Although he doesn’t necessarily “work out”, I know that a lot of dads do, and probably just grab old t-shirts and shorts! If your dad is a runner, chances are he cares about his socks (I only know this because Alex has specific “running socks“). A few good pairs of quality socks to wear while running or working out is a great gift that I’m sure your dad would appreciate! Also, some nice, dri-fit t-shirts and lightweight shorts would be great to make an outfit out of it all! I have linked quite a few options for workout clothes in different budgets.
While shopping for dad might not always be the easiest task, when you really think about it, there are a lot of options out there! Dads are great people who do so much for us, and never stop caring about their kids. No matter how old I get, I feel like I am always calling my dad asking life questions, because dads just know it all! They give so much, and usually ask for so little in return. I hope you are able to find some Father’s Day gift ideas here to celebrate the amazing dads in your lives!
